Why are your beverages good for the gut ?

 

All of our beverages contain a fermented base, be it fermented ginger juice or water kefir. The benefits of ginger have been well documented. Ginger has been used for thousands of years in the middle east and Asian cultures to help digestion. In recent studies it has been concluded that ginger acts as a pre biotic, increasing the growth of Lactobacilius and Bifidobacterium species. Fermented ginger takes this to another level as it is more bio available.

Our Water Kefir beverages are mildly pasteurized thus preserving nutrients, additionally studies have concluded that pasteurization has a beneficial effect on water kefir and its health benefits. Unpasteurized pro biotic beverages require cold chain transportion and storage, which has a large carbon footprint.

Is it healthy to drink several cans of Sosa the Soda per day?

 

First and foremost your primary source of hydration should be water. Sosa the Soda beverages have wonderful ingredients but they do contain sugar - some more, some very little but please be aware of that and drink responsibly.

Can your products be found in Europe?

 

Yes! Our products can be found in select natural food stores, restaurants, bars and coffee shops in  France, Germany, Austria and Hungary. We are constantly improving our distribution and we ship across the EU!

Why do your beverages contain sugar?

 

Other brands have zero Calorie drinks why doesn’t Sosa the Soda? We have so far not come across a natural sweetener that is healthy. Recent studies have concluded that even natural sweeteners such as Stevia have a negative effect on the microbiome - hence substituting sugar with sweeteners is not an option for us. We try to keep sugar levels in our drinks moderate-. We only use organic beet sugar and a good amount of it is used during the fermenation process. A soda with zero calories can only be achieved with non caloric sweeteners, since those have a negative effect on the gut flora it is not something we can with good conscience put in our beverages.

Is it enough to drink Sosa the Soda to have a healthy gut?

 

No! The best thing you can do is to consume a variety of fermented foods such as kimchi and a plethora of vegetables and furit. The more varied and coloriful your diet is the more your gut will thank you for it and so will your overall health.

Can your products be found in other states than California?

 

We are expanding our distribution. Bear with us, hopefully you will be able to find Sosa the Soda products in your state soon. For the time being please use our online store to purchase our products. We deliver nationwide!

Unfortunately we don’t have any distribution in place yet in Australia but hopefully soon! We love Australia! The surf down under is gnarly!
